A “pleasing contrast” could be the title of this kitchen. The request was for a decisive furnishing yet always in harmony with the structure, which in itself is quite unique. The light wooden beams, the floor with a speckled design, the minimalistic windows, and the anthracite profiles of the beams inspired the idea of a kitchen that would take up the color of the latter, creating a strict and elegant design.

Storage and functionality are resolved by the columns and the island, which adds workspace for food preparation and for quick and informal meals. The technical area makes use of the backside of the countertop with an “equipped channel” where power outlets, plate holders, utensil racks, and various containers are housed, always maintaining the tone used on the black quartz countertop.

A large window in the operating area, devoid of wall cabinets, provides light and a pleasant view towards the outside, emphasizing the minimal and linear effect of the kitchen. To avoid disrupting the regular geometry of the beams and the width of the window, a cooktop with an integrated hood was chosen; black spotlights placed regularly above the countertop solve the evening lighting of the operating area.
