A project that combines functional minimalism, material warmth, and signature design.
The entrance of the apartment opens with an architectural gesture that is both elegant and functional: an open white bookcase that, beyond displaying books and decorative objects, serves as a visual filter between the entryway and the living area, gently suggesting a transition between public and private spaces. This open shelving wall, light and orderly, enhances the depth of the space and immediately introduces a sense of clarity and personality.
The natural wood flooring, with its warm and pronounced grain, draws the eye and adds a tactile quality to the interiors, perfectly complementing the white surfaces and the matte slate accents of the TV unit. The latter, a suspended and minimal element, stretches along the main wall of the living room, accompanied by a grazing light positioned above it, highlighting the horizontal profile and enhancing its visual lightness.
Adding a touch of irony and strong sculptural impact is the iconic Up 5_6 armchair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia – a symbol of radical design in vivid red that catches the eye and breaks the strict geometry of the space with its organic and provocative shapes.
The result is a contemporary and welcoming environment where every element is designed to compose a unique visual narrative.
In the kitchen, the Line composition by Zampieri Cucine, in matte white lacquer, stands out for its pure, smooth surfaces, enhanced by the natural light that floods the space through large windows. The stoneware countertop, textured and durable, reinforces the image of formal cleanliness while maintaining high functional value.
At the heart of the space, the central island acts as both operational and convivial hub, housing the Bora cooktop with integrated extractor – a technological solution that preserves the clean aesthetic by eliminating intrusive overhead elements. The BCN stools by Kristalia, with ergonomic seat and sled base, introduce a strong and contemporary graphic detail.
Visually and materially aligned with the kitchen, the dining area centers around the iconic Tobi Ishi table by B&B Italia, featuring sculptural forms and soft lines reminiscent of Japanese zen gardens. The unmistakable Panton Chairs by Vitra, here in black, recall 1960s design reinterpreted in a modern key – the bold contrast between black and white adds dynamic energy without overwhelming the space.
The ensemble is completed by carefully selected details such as the sculptural pendant lighting and the concealed wine cellar.
In the guest bathroom, a large mirror expands the perception of space, while the focal point is the suspended Fenix gray vanity top, supporting a biancone stone vessel sink. The spherical pendant lamp with a copper body emits a soft, warm light, creating a refined play of reflections on the matte surface. The contrast between the soft textures of the biancone cladding and the velvety materiality of the Fenix defines a contemporary aesthetic, ideal for a guest-focused bathroom.
At the entrance of the sleeping area, a wardrobe zone opens up with full-height, light-toned cabinets in an essential design, emphasizing cleanliness and order. The path leads to a striking feature wall dominated by the Cristine mirror by Fiam – a reflective sculpture whose organic curves and fragmented reflections become an artistic element that brings depth and movement to the space.
Moving into the master bedroom, the centerpiece is the Alys 10 bed by B&B Italia, with soft lines and a gently reclined headboard that naturally invites rest. The light leather upholstery enhances the room’s brightness, harmonizing with the natural light filtering through the large windows dressed with soft wave curtains.
On the opposite wall, an elegant suspended People dresser by Pianca features clean, linear surfaces in a dark finish that appears to float against the white wall. Geometric pendant lamps and recessed spotlights highlight the modernity of the space without making it heavy.
Designed as an extension of the master bedroom, the ensuite bathroom offers a more intimate and cozy dimension. The biancone vessel sink, resting on a suspended gray lacquered cabinet, becomes the room’s visual focus, while the large mirror with integrated lighting expands the space.
A full-height window filters natural light through a technical curtain, creating suggestive chiaroscuro effects on the stone surfaces. The interplay between light stone, dark cabinetry, and black tapware details affirms a contemporary, elegant, and understated mood. The three bathrooms share a consistent material language – biancone stone for surfaces and sinks – interpreted in different functions: scenographic in the guest bathroom, practical and symmetrical in the night area, intimate and relaxing in the master suite.
The result is a coherent, modern, and timeless project that enhances light, materials, and the functional design of each furnishing element.
